Teguise is presenting itself as a monumental village in the promotional video entitled “Teguise, Monumental Village” which will be introduced by the Tourism Councillor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort. The video will be broadcasted as part of a promotional campaign in Canary Islands and mainland Spain.
The video, coordinated by PhD on History Sebastian Hernandez, will be first displayed in the País Vasco and then in Barcelona and Galicia. This promotion enhances the municipality as something else than “sun and beach”. “We do have a history that is reflected on our architecture, habits and monuments and they can all make a difference when it comes to tourists deciding on where to visit”, Oswaldo Betancort says.
The video, which lasts 12 minutes, displays attractive images while speaking about the history of the previous capital of Lanzarote from its conquest. The story is told by means of a “diablete” (devil-like creature) wearing little bells who visits every corner of the municipality.
The video also shows the handicraft, commercial activity, the many high-quality places where to stay, the geographical characteristics of the area for the practising of some sports and the many interesting places to visit in Teguise.
The video can be watched on –www.teguise.es- and can be freely downloaded. It is meant to be an essential promoting tool for Teguise.
